PRINCE2^® Certifications

This page is a list of the certification programs available for PRINCE2.

PRINCE2

There are the following two certification programs for PRINCE2:

• PRINCE2 Foundation: The first level of certification, focused on understanding the overall method and terminology and being ready to be an effective member of a PRINCE2 project team.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner: The higher level of certification, focused on a deep understanding of the method and being able to tailor and implement it in projects.

In the past, there was a higher level of PRINCE2 Professional as well, but it doesn’t exist anymore.

PRINCE2 Agile

Besides the normal PRINCE2, there’s also PRINCE2 Agile^® with the following certification programs:

• PRINCE2 Agile Foundation: The entry-level certificate, about understanding the way PRINCE2 works in Agile environments.
• PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner: The higher level of certification focused on understanding how to tailor PRINCE2 to work in Agile environments.

Preparation

Candidates can self-study or take accredited courses to prepare for the exams. Exams are available both online and paper-based.
